Wayne Rooney will retire after World Cup 2018 from Three Lions squad

It's confirmed That Wayne Rooney will retire from international duty after World 2018 regardless of whether England qualify or whether or not he is selected.


The Manchester United captain is by far the most experienced member of the current Three Lions squad and has retained the role of captain under Sam Allardyce despite a disastrous Euro 2016 campaign.

It will be his last chance to win something on the international stage. Ahead of the World Cup qualifier, Rooney said, if selected, he would retire after the tournament.
